Our Gastroenterology and waitlist service is seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward-thinking nurse leader to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in improving patient access to timely assessment, treatment, and ongoing support. Working within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will deliver advanced, evidence-based care while helping shape the future of gastroenterology nursing practice.

About the Role

As a key member of our service, you will provide expert clinical care to patients with gastroenterology conditions, supporting them throughout their healthcare journey from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up. You will also contribute significantly to the management of our waitlist patients, helping ensure timely access to care and improved patient outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously while collaborating closely with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

  • Provide advanced clinical assessment, management, and follow-up care for gastroenterology patients.
  • Support patients and their families through education, advocacy, and care coordination.
  • Contribute to service development, innovation, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the management and review of waitlist patients to improve access and patient flow.
  • Drive best-practice clinical outcomes and support the ongoing evolution of gastroenterology services.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be:

  • A Registered Nurse with advanced clinical experience in gastroenterology.
  • Successful completion of a Board-approved Nurse Practitioner qualification at Master's level or education.
  • A confident, adaptable clinician who embraces contemporary and evolving approaches to patient management.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional patient-centred, evidence-based care.
  • An emerging or established nurse leader committed to advancing nursing practice.
  • Dedicated to ongoing professional development, quality improvement, and clinical excellence.
  • An excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
