About the opportunity

The Coordinator Member Services leads a small team of Membership Support Officers and oversees key member services and HR administration functions. The role is responsible for managing employee lifecycle activities for staff, including onboarding, increments, probation, assignments and movements, and audits of leave and timesheets. It also oversees onboarding and other transactional support for NSW SES volunteers.

Another key focus of this role is reporting and data analysis using the agency’s HRIS, SAP.

To be successful in this role, you will possess experience in the management of HR functions using a HRIS system (preferably SAP), reporting (including generating reports and the analysis of data) together with a supportive and engaging approach to management of staff. You will also enjoy working in a HR environment regularly engaging with various stakeholders across the agency in a fast past environment.

This role also supports operational activity during emergency events including rostered shifts around onboarding multi-agency members and support in the State Command Centre. This work directly supports our communities during emergencies.

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Demonstrate high level proficiency with SAP HR systems, including the ability to develop new reports, analyse data and investigate HR data trends and anomalies
  • Prior experience of the administration of employee conditions and entitlements
  • Ability to interpret public sector awards and agreements and other relevant legislation
  • Possess experience in managing staff.

  • Please outline your experience in managing a HR team responsible for transactional work relating to life cycle of employees. In your response, please include detail around how you effectively managed the team ensuring deadlines were met in a high volume work environment.
  • Give an example of when you have been required to run a HR report which involved analysis of information to provide data on the workforce. What HRIS system did you use to gather the data and explain your analysis of that data to provide accurate and timely information.
