The opportunity

With an exciting portfolio of ongoing and upcoming projects, we are looking for Electrical and Instrument Engineer to strengthen our already high performing team for a 6 month casual contract with potential to extend. Electrical and/or Instrumentation and Controls Engineering experience within Oil & Gas would be an advantage.

As an E&I Engineer at Momentum, you will have the opportunity to work with an exceptional team, grow your skills and capabilities across multiple disciplines, with excellent career development opportunities. You will work on projects critical to current and future energy needs and be responsible for project deliverables, including:

  • Brownfield modifications of offshore assets to ensure future reliable operation
  • Renewable hydrogen project development
  • Compression stations to ensure Australian energy grid resilience
  • LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) developments to boost energy security

Responsibilities

  • Developing & reviewing engineering design deliverables, calculations & specification documents
  • Developing & reviewing project scope and all technical engineering documentation
  • Providing Engineering input into design documents (including lists, schedules, documents, detail design drawings and others)
  • Taking ownership of project discipline deliverables to ensure timely delivery
  • Carry out project meetings, planning, scheduling and client liaison
  • Help develop multidisciplinary deliverables
  • Attend, develop experience and contribute to HAZOP, HAZID LOPA and CHAZOP workshops
  • Report to and work alongside Lead E&I Engineer, and other team members

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical and/or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Experience in Oil and Gas Industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of Technical design drafting of Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation interfaces
