The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Motor Assessor to join a high-performing team in a hybrid role.

This position offers the perfect blend of hands-on assessing and leadership, where you’ll manage your own portfolio while mentoring assessors and acting as a key escalation point.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to assessors, acting as the first point of escalation
• Support leaders with complex customer complaints and claims resolution
• Conduct vehicle assessments (digital and onsite) to determine repair or total loss outcomes
• Establish accurate market values for settlements and review third-party demands
• Oversee repair timelines, ensuring quality and efficiency
• Manage customer enquiries and deliver fair, timely claim outcomes

Skills & Experience

• 3+ years’ experience in motor assessing or vehicle repair estimation
• Strong background in motor insurance claims
• Solid understanding of insurance legislation and industry codes
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

Qualifications & Requirements

• Trade qualification (Panel Beater, Spray Painter, or Mechanic) or Certificate IV in Vehicle Loss Assessing or extensive assessor experience
• Experience in damage assessment and estimating
• Current driver’s licence
