What's the role?

Due to the continued success of our recently launched MRI service in Victoria Point, and our planned MRI expansion across the region, we are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team on either a full-time or part-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing MRI service, working alongside an experienced and collaborative team with daily on-site Radiologist support. Our Victoria Point MRI service operates a GE Voyager 1.5T magnet, with future regional expansion also featuring GE MRI systems.

Ideally, we are seeking a dual-trained Medical Imaging Technologist who is happy to work across MRI, CT, OPG and General X-Ray. However, we are also open to discussing opportunities with candidates seeking a dedicated MRI-focused role.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, patient-centred care while maintaining patient welfare, dignity and confidentiality
• Perform MRI examinations to a high clinical standard across a broad range of procedures
• Work collaboratively with Radiologists, Radiographers and clinical support staff to ensure outstanding patient outcomes
• Operate and optimise imaging protocols on GE MRI systems
• Maintain exceptional image quality, patient safety and clinical accuracy
• Interpret imaging requests in accordance with clinical protocols and legislative requirements
• Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of MRI services within the region
• Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with accreditation standards
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
• Where appropriately skilled, perform CT, OPG and General X-Ray examinations

Is the role right for you?

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Bring

• ASMIRT Level 1 MRI Certification
• Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner
• Demonstrated experience as an MRI Technologist
• Experience working on GE MRI systems, ideally 1.5T and/or 3.0T magnets
• Strong commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Experience across CT, OPG and/or General X-Ray will be highly regarded
• A proactive approach with strong attention to detail
