What’s the role?

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our North West Private Hospital team on a permanent full-time basis.

This role will see you supporting clinical operations and patient care within a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment. You will work collaboratively with Radiologists, Medical Imaging Technologists, Sonographers, and Administrative staff to ensure patients receive safe, efficient, and compassionate care throughout their imaging journey.

Responsibilities include patient assessment and preparation, IV cannulation, contrast administration, patient monitoring, and providing reassurance and support throughout procedures.

You will also play an important rolein maintaining smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and adherence to clinical governance and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Delivering high-quality patient-centred nursing care
  • Supporting patients undergoing diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures
  • Patient assessment and preparation for imaging
  • IV cannulation and administration of contrast media
  • Monitoring patient wellbeing and responding to clinical needs
  • Providing reassurance, education, and support to patients
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
  • Ensuring adherence to infection control and quality standards
  • Supporting efficient patient flow within the department
  • Contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture

Is this role right for you?

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Have

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Previous experience in Radiology, Medical Imaging, Day Procedures, Oncology, Surgical, Emergency or Acute Care nursing (highly regarded)
  • Experience with IV cannulation and contrast administration (highly desirable)
  • Strong clinical assessment, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Ability to provide safe, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centred approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to infection control, quality improvement and clinical governance standards
  • Professional, reliable, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach
  • Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain and maintain)
