Finishes foreman

Our client is a respected commercial and residential builder delivering a mix of luxury residential and high-end aged care projects across Melbourne. With projects typically around the $20m mark, they are known for quality delivery, strong relationships and a high standard of finish.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Finishes Supervisor to oversee the final stages of delivery across a mix of premium projects in Melbourne’s Bayside suburbs.

The Role

As Finishes Supervisor, you will be responsible for driving the quality, coordination and completion of internal and external finishes. You will work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to ensure trades are well coordinated, defects are minimised, and the final product is delivered to a high standard.

This role would suit someone with strong attention to detail, excellent trade coordination skills and experience working on projects where the quality of finish is critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate finishing trades on site
• Oversee internal and external finishes through to handover
• Drive quality, detail and presentation across all areas of the project
• Manage defects, QA processes and close-out works
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme
• Assist with client inspections, PC preparation and handover
• Maintain strong communication with the site and project team

About You

You will bring strong knowledge of finishes, an eye for detail and the ability to push trades while maintaining a professional and collaborative site environment.

Skills & Experience

• Experience supervising high-quality finishes
• Background in luxury residential, aged care, apartments, hotels or commercial projects
• Strong trade coordination and defect management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proven ability to work to programme and quality standards
