IT Engineer - ServiceNow, Permanent, $90K -$120K + Super p/a, Brisbane

An exciting opportunity for an IT Engineer -ServiceNow to join a highly collaborative and supportive team based in Brisbane.

What you'll do

  • Develop a deep understanding of both internal and external customers to ensure their needs are translated into effective ServiceNow solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders by acting as a reliable advisor throughout project lifecycles.
  • Establish strong connections within the organisation and with clients to facilitate seamless operational and project delivery.
  • Support best practice delivery by contributing your technical expertise and collaborating with other teams.
  • Engage directly with customers to address their business challenges using ServiceNow solutions, driving further adoption across the organisation.
  • Create clear customer-facing artefacts that simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with project teams-including customer stakeholders-to produce detailed design documentation tailored to specific requirements and project scopes.
  • Offer recommendations for improving existing designs while limiting unnecessary customisation to maintain simplicity in both internal and client environments.
  • Provide technical content for client proposals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer objectives.
  • Implement robust ServiceNow solutions for both internal users and external clients, preparing comprehensive handover documentation for smooth transitions into ongoing support.

What you bring

  • Demonstrated proficiency in scripting within the ServiceNow platform, enabling you to develop tailored solutions efficiently.
  • Experience working with core ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, or HRSD at an administrative level rather than solely as an end user.
  • Excellent communication skills that enable you to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A background in infrastructure or related fields that provides transferable skills relevant to ServiceNow engineering roles.
  • At least four years' experience working hands-on with various ServiceNow applications including ITSM, ITOM, HR, ITBM, CSM or similar modules.
  • A minimum of three years' experience utilising IT Service Management tools and processes in complex environments.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple tasks effectively in busy settings where priorities may shift quickly.
  • Ability to adapt under pressure when working with multiple stakeholders towards firm deadlines without compromising quality or attention to detail.
  • Experience delivering complex integrations between different platforms or business applications using ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline alongside certifications such as ITIL Foundation Certificate, ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM), Application Developer certification or equivalent.
