Associate Director - Real Estate Finance - QLD

weave. Recruitment has been exclusively retained to appoint an Associate Director for a non-bank real estate lender with an established Queensland presence. The business has built a credible book over the past 12 months and is ready to back a second senior originator to grow it further.

This is a full origination role. The person appointed will source, structure and execute first mortgage and equity transactions across residential development, industrial and land subdivision, manage borrower and broker relationships end to end, and contribute directly to Queensland's growth targets.

The role sits inside an established office with a support team already in place. This is not a start-up situation. Capital is deployed, the pipeline is active, and the brand is gaining traction in the Queensland market.

The Role

• Originate first mortgage and equity investment opportunities across Queensland, with a focus on residential development, industrial and land subdivision
• Lead structuring, underwriting and negotiation of debt and equity facilities from initial engagement through to settlement
• Prepare and present credit submissions and investment memoranda to Credit Committee and Investment Committee
• Own borrower, broker and adviser relationships across the Queensland portfolio
• Manage facilities through their life including drawdowns, progress claims and repayment
• Contribute to Queensland origination strategy and pipeline targets

Background Required

• 7 or more years in commercial real estate lending or real estate investment, with a track record in origination and transaction execution
• An established network across the Queensland property and finance market, including developers, brokers and advisers
• Experience preparing and presenting credit submissions to senior committees
• Deep understanding of debt and equity structuring across development and income producing assets
• Strong commercial judgement and credit discipline, with the ability to operate autonomously
