Product Trainer

The Product Trainer plays a key role in delivering engaging learning experiences for our Property & Rating solution, helping Local Councils confidently use the platform to manage their property, rating and revenue functions.
Working within the Product Enablement team, you'll partner with Product, Implementation and Support teams to design and deliver practical training that reflects real council processes and drives successful product adoption.
You'll design, develop and deliver learning programs that help council users confidently apply the Property & Rating solution in real-world Local Government environments.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product teams to develop training aligned to new and existing Property & Rating functionality.
- Design and deliver instructor-led training, eLearning, guides and certification programs for Local Government users.
- Develop engaging learning content using realistic council scenarios and Property & Rating workflows.
- Build a strong understanding of Local Government Property & Rating, revenue and regulatory processes.
- Configure and maintain training environments using council-based data and scenarios.
- Review learner feedback and continuously improve training effectiveness and product adoption.
Skills & Experience
- You'll bring a mix of product understanding, learning design capability, and strong stakeholder engagement skills, ideally with exposure to Local Government or Property & Rating systems.
You'll need
- Experience working with enterprise software, ideally Local Government systems or Property & Rating solutions
- Understanding of Local Council processes, revenue management, or similar regulatory billing environments (highly regarded)
- Ability to design structured learning outcomes, curriculum, and assessments for diverse learner groups
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences including council staff and technical users
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working with Product, Implementation, and Support teams
- A proactive mindset focused on improving training effectiveness, user adoption, and learning outcomes
- Willingness to work hands-on with systems to build deep product expertise and real-world context
- Comfort working with evolving technology and learning tools to enhance training delivery
Desirable
- Formal qualification in Training and Assessment or Learning Design
- Knowledge of learning design principles, instructional methodologies, and blended learning approaches
- Experience in Local Government, Property & Rating, or enterprise billing systems
- Exposure to SaaS product training or customer enablement environments
