Safety Advisor

I am currently seeking a Safety Advisor to join a well-established national Tier 2 fit-out and new build construction company.

This is a hybrid role, working between the Brisbane office and roving across SEQ projects. You will act as the sole safety lead for Queensland, playing a key role in promoting a Safety-First culture by ensuring compliance with current legislation, policies, and procedures from preconstruction through to project completion.

The Role

• Provide site-based safety support across fit out and new build projects
• Partner closely with project teams, subcontractors, and senior management to drive strong safety outcomes
• Conduct site inspections, audits, investigations, and risk assessments
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training
• Assist in maintaining compliance with WHS legislation and company procedures

About You

• Demonstrated EHSQ site-based experience within the construction industry
• Experience reviewing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Safe Systems of Work
• Exposure to fit-out, refurbishment, and new build projects
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and contractor management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong organisational, time management, and administrative abilities
• Able to work autonomously while contributing positively to a wider team
