About the role
As a Cyber Security Analyst at Adelaide Airport, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the organisation's ICT systems. Your responsibilities will include identifying vulnerabilities, conducting risk assessments, and implementing solutions to ensure operational continuity.
You will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and produce detailed reports to inform future strategies. By staying informed on emerging cyber security trends and engaging with industry groups, you will contribute to best practices across the organisation.
Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly will empower stakeholders to understand their role in maintaining information security. This position is integral to protecting critical infrastructure and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What you will do
- Regularly assess and report on the cyber security status of Adelaide Airport's ICT environment, providing actionable recommendations to address vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to develop strategies that mitigate risks while minimising disruptions to operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and penetration tests to proactively identify and manage potential issues or single points of failure.
- Support security audits and compliance activities by ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
- Implement systems for real-time monitoring of security incidents, responding promptly to threats and preparing detailed incident response reports.
- Assist in maintaining the Information Security Management System through participation in projects and initiatives.
- Provide expert advice on information security risks, helping system owners understand their responsibilities within the broader framework.
What you bring
- University degree in ICT, Cyber Security or related field (desirable).
- CISSP certification or equivalent qualification demonstrating advanced knowledge of cyber security principles.
- Practical understanding of privacy requirements, risk management frameworks (e.g. PCI or ISO2700x)
- Practical understanding of Cyber Security Frameworks such as NIST, Essential 8, IEC 62443 and the SOCI Act
- Proven ability to provide technical support for business-critical applications and infrastructure systems in large organisations.
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills with experience collaborating across internal teams and external partners or regulators.
- Commitment to continuous learning by staying informed about emerging trends in cyber security technology and methodologies.
- Experience working for critical infrastructure or with Operational Technology
