The opportunity

Delaware North Australia is hiring a Front Office Manager to join our team at Lizard Island Resort. As a Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for management of the front office function, ensuring accurate processing of all guest and external operator accounts, and maintaining a high level of communication with all resort departments.

What will you do?

  • Oversee the delivery of consistent, high-quality guest service at the front office, including proactive monitoring of guest feedback and implementing improvements
  • Interact daily with guests in a guest facing capacity
  • Drive and champion customer satisfaction programs, including data analysis
  • Create and communicate occupancy forecasts and room revenue projections, supporting operational strategies to enhance efficiency and service speed
  • Plan and manage team member rosters, labor cost forecasting, and make daily adjustments to align with business needs and budget
  • Ensure cash, stock, and asset security by conducting audits, implementing theft prevention strategies, and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Collaborate on special projects, support sales and revenue initiatives, and implement best practices through coaching and mentoring the operational team

More About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, tourism, hospitality management, or equivalent
  • Relevant luxury resort or hotel experience in a similar role
  • Financial analysis, event planning, and coordination skills
  • Knowledge of Property Management Systems
  • Effective coaching, mentoring, and training skills
  • Self-driven and confident in guest recovery
  • Outgoing and comfortable engaging with high-net-worth guests
