Hays is proud to be partnering with a leading higher education institution to recruit an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale cyber remediation programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-impact initiative aimed at strengthening the organisation's overall security posture.

Your new role

As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure effective delivery across these streams.

You will play a key role within a major cybersecurity uplift programme running through to December 2026. The programme focusses on enhancing security across four critical workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed process mapping and identify improvement opportunities

Develop clear and structured procedural documentation

Translate technical security requirements into business-friendly policies and documentation

Support reporting and data visualisation, including use of Power BI

Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate outcomes effectively

Contribute to governance and reporting across programme workstreams.

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within large transformation or cybersecurity programmes

Strong capability in process mapping and documentation

Experience translating technical information into clear business processes and policies

Proficiency in Power BI or similar reporting tools

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Experience within higher education or complex enterprise environments is advantageous.
