The opportunity
This role leads the delivery of planning scheme amendments and strategic planning projects at Hobsons Bay City Council. Working closely with stakeholders, community and internal teams, you’ll help shape land use outcomes by providing expert advice, managing projects, and ensuring planning initiatives are delivered in line with legislative and strategic requirements.

What You’ll Do
- Lead planning framework changes and strategic planning projects.
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders, including developers and agencies.
- Prepare reports, briefs and planning documentation.
- Deliver community consultation and engagement activities.
- Manage consultants, budgets and project timelines.
What You Need To Succeed
- Tertiary qualification in Town Planning or related field.
- Strong experience in strategic or statutory planning.
- Knowledge of Victorian planning legislation and processes.
- Proven project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong written communication and report writing ability.

Pre-Employment Requirements
Progressed candidates will be required to complete a National Police Record Check, a Working With Children Check (WWCC). Candidates must also hold a valid Victorian Driver's License.
