About The Team
The AccessCare department at the City of Kingston supports older people, people with disabilities, and those with complex needs to live safely and independently at home. Funded by the Commonwealth and Victorian governments, AccessCare deliver aged care programs such as Support at Home (SAH) and the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) across the municipalities of Kingston, Bayside, Glen Eira, Stonnington, Port Phillip and Frankston. About This Opportunity
We are looking for a Financial Accounts Assistant to join our dedicated aged care finance team.
Reporting to the AccessCare Finance Team Leader, in this role, you will:
- Verify creditor invoices against planned expenditure
- Process aspects of accounts payable and receivable including purchase orders, reimbursements, invoices and adjustments
- Provide exceptional customer service and financial support to customers, internal staff and external service providers and stakeholders.
- Reconcile and maintain financial data and records completing monthly reporting and year-end procedures.
This position supports the accurate delivery of financial services across the AccessCare department, focusing on tasks such as invoice verification, processing accounts payable and receivable activities, and invoicing. While some finance functions are segmented and managed by our head office finance team, you will play a key role ensuring financial records are accurate, timely and compliant with funding requirements.

We Are Looking For Someone With
- Qualifications or experience in financial accounts or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numerical data
- Experience in processing financial accounts, customer service, and administration.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with financial systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience working in the aged care sector or a community service environment advantageous but not essential.
