What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing, plating, and serving meals to residents in accordance with dietary requirements and care plans
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen and dining environment that meets food safety standards
  • Engaging warmly with residents during mealtimes, supporting their comfort and dignity
  • Collaborating with nursing and care staff to ensure residents' individual needs are met at every meal service

What You'll Bring

  • A current Food Safety Handling certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Experience in a kitchen, food service, or hospitality environment
  • A genuine commitment to caring for older people with respect and patience
  • Reliability and flexibility across a rotating casual roster, including weekends
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one — a requirement for all VMCH staff working in care settings
