At VMCH's residential aged care home in Clayton, the Food Services team plays a real and everyday role in the wellbeing of older Australians — and right now, there are permanent positions open for someone who takes that seriously.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing, plating, and serving meals to residents in accordance with dietary requirements and care plans
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen and dining environment that meets food safety standards
- Engaging warmly with residents during mealtimes, supporting their comfort and dignity
- Collaborating with nursing and care staff to ensure residents' individual needs are met at every meal service
What You'll Bring
- A current Food Safety Handling certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience in a kitchen, food service, or hospitality environment
- A genuine commitment to caring for older people with respect and patience
- Reliability and flexibility across a rotating casual roster, including weekends
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one — a requirement for all VMCH staff working in care settings
