About The Role
Full time, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
As the first point of contact for the Autobody and Van Service Centre at Mercedes-Benz Melbourne, you will play a key role in delivering a professional, efficient, and customer focused experience across accident repair and commercial vehicle service operations.
You will be responsible for managing incoming calls, coordinating service and repair enquiries, and ensuring customers are directed to the appropriate team members. This includes liaising closely with body shop estimators, service advisors, and workshop staff to support smooth workflow and accurate job management.
A key requirement of this role is experience using the iBody system, which is essential for managing autobody repair administration, job tracking, and workflow coordination.
You will also be responsible for welcoming customers, maintaining a professional reception area, and ensuring all communication reflects the high standards of Mercedes-Benz Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer all incoming calls promptly, professionally, and courteously
- Manage service, repair, and accident related enquiries and direct them appropriately
- Coordinate bookings and support workflow across the autobody and van service operations
- Use the iBody system to manage repair jobs, documentation, and job progression tracking
- Assist with administration including job cards, repair documentation, and internal communications
- Liaise with service advisors, estimators, and workshop teams to support efficient operations
- Greet customers and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional reception area
- Take and accurately relay messages in a timely manner
Candidate Requirements
- Strong communication, customer service, and organisational skills
- Professional presentation with a confident and polished phone manner
- Experience managing a busy multi line switchboard
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
- Previous experience in automotive service, autobody, or repair centre reception highly regarded
- Experience using iBody is preferred but not essential
