Where you'll be working
SESLHD is one of the largest local health districts in Sydney, covering a geographical area of 468 square kilometres from Sydney’s central business district, the beaches from Bondi to Cronulla and down to the Royal National Park. We deliver health care to around 930,000 residents across the local government areas of Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick, Bayside, Georges River and the Sutherland Shire. We also provide a key role in helping residents of Lord Howe Island. Our staff also deliver high quality health care across a variety of community-based services ranging from pre-birth to palliative care.
What you'll be doing
The Senior Allied Health Implementation Research Fellow works as part of the allied health research support unit to evaluate, facilitate and develop allied health research capacity, leadership and partnerships to enable SESLHD Allied Health Services to provide best practice care to SESLHD clients. This role will support embedding a culture of clinically-driven research; nurturing our workforce and the infrastructure to support them; empowering clients as research partners; and optimising cross campus research through a range of activities including:
- Evaluating research activity within allied health and related research capacity initiatives within a research framework
- Developing allied health service-wide and discipline specific research strategies aligned with clinical priorities and the SESLHD Strategy
- Supporting individual and team research capacity development and innovation, including undertaking research, teaching and training
- Develop research partnerships and collaborations with key stakeholders
Selecion Criteria
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and registration with full practising AHPRA registration or eligibility for practising membership of the relevant professional Allied Health association. Full registration with AHPRA, with endorsement in Clinical Psychology or other relevant AoPE, along with an APAC-accredited minimum two-year full-time equivalent Masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology (or relevant AOPE) along with 5 years experience post AoPE Masters degree.
- Significant experience in the establishment and conduct of clinical or health-related studies with mixed-method research designs;
- Demonstrated experience in grant writing and a track record of contributing to/ first author of peer reviewed publications.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, change management and strategic planning to achieve operational objectives within limited timeframes.
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from a number of different sources, and present analyses in verbal, visual or written forms.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels to facilitate outcomes.
- Effective problem solving, time management and prioritisation skills with experience effectively managing competing demands to achieve deliverables on time.
- Current valid NSW Class C drivers license and willingness to travel for work purposes.
