Early Childhood Educator

Epping North Preschool is a highly respected, not-for-profit kindergarten. The Centre is managed by a director and governed by a parent Committee of Management. We use a mindfulness approach at Epping North Pre-school to create a caring, nurturing atmosphere where everyone is valued for being unique. We recognise the connectiveness of mind, body and spirit. All areas of children’s development- social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language need to be fostered. Our Code of Ethics ensures every child is cared for in a safe and nurturing environment. Educators believe that children need to be exposed to Literacy, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). We pride ourselves on our low staff turnover and are hoping for another valued member to join our team.

* Support the delivery of high-quality, inclusive and play-based educational programs that promote the learning, development and wellbeing of all children. * Assist with daily program implementation, including preparation and pack up of activities, learning materials, equipment and maintaining safe, clean and engaging learning environments. * Observe, interact with and support children’s physical, social and emotional development, recording observations where required to contribute to individual learning outcomes. * Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, working collaboratively within a team environment to support each child’s development and wellbeing. * Foster an inclusive, respectful and child-safe environment while maintaining compliance with workplace policies, child protection requirements and professional standards. The successful educator will work under the direction of the teaching team on a day-to-day basis in implementing the kindergarten program’s aims and will be accountable to the Committee of Management (Employer) in supporting the overall delivery of the service.

* Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent approved qualification) * Current Working with Children Check * Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to obtain)
