What you'll be doing
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality person centred nursing care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards for Practice for Registered Nurses, and the Policies and Procedures of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD)
About You
You present yourself as a Registered Nurse who operates with a strong sense of professionalism, clinical competence and personal accountability. You hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division , and you carry that responsibility with the confidence of someone who understands both the privilege and the expectations of the role. You navigate the demands of a seven‑day rotating roster with reliability, adapting to early and late shifts as well as after‑hours on‑call requirements without compromising the quality of your care or your commitment to your team.
In your daily practice, you communicate with clarity and purpose. You use information technology, written documentation and verbal communication to ensure that every interaction is meaningful and accurate. You recognise key messages and concerns when speaking with patients, families and colleagues, and you adjust your approach to ensure that people feel heard, respected and supported. Your interpersonal style reflects empathy, professionalism and an ability to remain composed even in high‑pressure environments.
You approach patient care with a problem‑solving mindset, drawing on a multidisciplinary team to plan, deliver and coordinate safe, effective and holistic care. You understand that high‑quality nursing is never done in isolation, and you contribute to team discussions with insight, clinical reasoning and a willingness to collaborate. Your practice is grounded in person‑centred care, evidence‑based principles and a commitment to continuous quality improvement, ensuring that your decisions are informed, ethical and aligned with best practice.
Your recent post‑graduate experience in high‑acuity settings has strengthened your clinical judgement and sharpened your ability to respond to complex and rapidly changing situations. You bring a depth of knowledge that allows you to anticipate needs, prioritise effectively and act with confidence in environments where precision and timely intervention matter.
Above all, you demonstrate a clear understanding of your professional responsibilities. You practise in accordance with legislation, organisational policies and the defined scope of practice of a Registered Nurse. You hold yourself to a high standard, ensuring that your actions reflect both your clinical expertise and your commitment to safe, ethical and compassionate care.
