Environmental Services Worker – All Rounder (Casual)

Gracehaven Aged Care Facility | Bundaberg, QLD

This is a varied and rewarding position working across kitchen, laundry, and cleaning services, helping us create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home for our residents.

About the Role

In this hands-on position, you’ll play an important part in the day-to-day life of our facility by supporting across several service areas, including:

  • Assisting with basic meal preparation and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
  • Supporting meal service, including setup and clean-up of dining areas
  • Carrying out laundry duties such as sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linen and clothing
  • Completing general cleaning tasks across resident rooms and common areas
  • Ensuring equipment and work areas are clean, safe, and well maintained
  • Working collaboratively with the broader team to support a high standard of service delivery

About You

You are someone who brings a positive, practical approach to your work and takes pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments. You will also bring:

  • A reliable and team-focused attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Good communication and the ability to work respectfully with others
  • A willingness to learn and contribute across multiple service areas

Previous experience in aged care, hospitality, cleaning, or laundry is valued but not essential, we are happy to support the right person who shares our values and commitment to quality care.

Requirements

  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
  • Basic computer skills (email and internet use)
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Australian working rights (We are not able to offer sponsorship)

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a similar role (minimum 12 months preferred)
  • Experience in aged care or hospitality environments
  • Certificate II in Cookery or similar qualification
