About the Role
This high profile position leads and advises the business on major strategic work that creates meaningful outcomes for the organisation and community.
This limited tenure opportunity to May 2027 provides scope to influence the greater integration of strategic planning and performance evaluation within the Strategy and Organisational Excellence team and the integrated strategic planning framework for the organisation more broadly.
What You’ll deliver
- Drive sustainable change in the City of Casey by leading the implementation of our integrated corporate planning and reporting framework initiatives from Community Vision through to Strategy
- Lead organisational performance reporting to build the organisation’s strategic planning capability and cultivate a culture of performance measuring, monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement
- Lead the implementation of the Integrated Strategic Planning Framework, ensuring line of sight from Community Vision through to Strategy.
- Identify and drive ongoing improvement and implementation of the annual strategic planning and performance cycle.
- Drive, monitor and report on the organisation’s outcomes operating model.
- Lead the organisation’s strategy practice, including strategy development, impact measurement, action planning, and performance monitoring.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Organisational Planning/Strategic Foresight or other relevant discipline, and/or extensive equivalent experience in strategy and corporate reporting, document management and project planning in a similar role
- Knowledge and experience in application of modern business strategy methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Design Thinking.
- Advisory and consultative skills in working with key stakeholders to develop strategy capability, and influence strategy through to execution.
- Extensive experience facilitating workshops and leading cross functional sessions to develop shared and prioritised strategic outcomes.
- Extensive experience leading teams and building capability.
- Strong business acumen, with relevant experience in operating at a strategic level, providing insightful analysis to senior leaders and organisational decision makers.
- Highly competent in leading complex projects, with the ability to influence others to achieve a common goal.
- Extensive experience in corporate report writing.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check
