LiveBetter has an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Preschool Educator (Diploma Qualified) to join our childhood education and development department.

LiveBetter’s Child and Family Services team provide support to a diverse group of customers across the organisation, with a primary focus on providing children and their families’ opportunities to overcome obstacles to participate within their communities. The key projects undertaken by Child and Family Services include Preschools, Long Day Care Out of School Care and Early Intervention programs.

About the position

As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you are expected to be an active member of a team which provides high-quality early childhood education and care to children. You work closely with all members of the Education and Development team as well as the families and children at the preschool.

About You

  • Self-motivated, ability to prioritise and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Empathetic and caring approach with a genuine interest in working with children in a preschool based environment.
  • Experience working with children with additional needs is desirable.
  • Experience working within the Early Childhood Sector is desirable.

The successful candidate will possess

  • Diploma in Children's Services
  • Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to undertake travel in accordance with responsibilities of the role.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training.
  • Current statement of attainment for “Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk” –CHCPRT025.
