As our Queensland business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced
Associate or Principal Structural Engineer to join our Brisbane team and play a key leadership role in the continued expansion of our Forensic & Remedial offering.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded engineer who enjoys building client relationships, winning work, leading complex forensic investigations and contributing to the strategic growth of a national business. You will work closely with senior leaders across the business while becoming a recognised technical and market presence within the Queensland forensic engineering sector.
Your Day Will Be Busy And Varied Including
- Leading complex forensic investigations and remedial engineering projects across residential, commercial and industrial structures
- Conducting site inspections and investigations across metropolitan and regional Queensland
- Preparing high-quality technical reports identifying cause of failure, extent of damage and recommended remediation solutions
- Developing remedial repair methodologies and rectification documentation for damaged structures and construction-related issues
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with insurers, legal professionals, asset owners, builders and other industry stakeholders
- Contributing to business development activities including client engagement, networking, tenders, proposals and capability presentations
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities while strengthening Intrax’s market presence in Queensland
- Providing technical leadership, mentoring and support to engineers within the broader Forensic & Remedial team
- Supporting innovation initiatives including process improvement, system enhancement and quality assurance activities
- Representing Intrax at industry events, technical discussions and client presentations
Technically you will have a demonstrable track record that covers:
- 8–10+ years’ experience within forensic or remedial engineering
- Strong forensic investigation and technical report writing capability across residential, commercial and industrial assets
- Previous structural design experience across building structures, including remedial and strengthening solutions
- Experience working with insurers, legal professionals, builders, developers or asset owners
- Exposure to tenders, proposals and business development activities, with the ability to contribute to or lead work-winning initiatives
- Strong understanding of the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
- Chartered Engineer status essential, with RPEQ registration highly regarded
- Current Australian driver’s licence
