Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Market Research Analyst to support the delivery of tourism economics, visitation reporting, and market intelligence initiatives. This role is responsible for conducting research, analysing data, and generating meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making across the business.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within established processes and reporting frameworks, with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery. This role is well-suited to individuals who enjoy working with data, producing recurring reports, and translating complex findings into clear and actionable insights for a range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research, data analysis, and reporting to generate meaningful insights and support business decision-making.
  • Analyse tourism, visitation, economic, and market data to identify trends, opportunities, and key findings.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of research methodologies, frameworks, and publication standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support visitor insights initiatives, research projects, and business priorities.
  • Maintain and manage databases, datasets, and records, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Support the collection, validation, and interpretation of data from multiple sources, including API-based data feeds.
  • Translate complex data and research findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, deliverables, and key outcomes to support team planning and resource visibility.
  • Ensure all reporting activities are completed within established timelines and quality standards.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in market research, data analysis, economic studies, tourism analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query and API-driven data integration.
  • Experience using Microsoft Power BI for data visualisation and dashboard development.
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills, including proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable

  • Experience working with tourism, visitor, economic, or consumer market datasets.
  • Exposure to data visualisation, business intelligence, and reporting environments.
  • Experience working with API-based data sources and automated reporting solutions.
