Agreement: Hobart City Council Enterprise Agreement 2024

Salary range: $67,171 per annum (pro-rata $33.99 per hour part-time) + 13.5% superannuation.

About the role

Join our Waste Management Centre as a Tollbooth Operator, where you will be the welcoming face supporting customers as they dispose of waste responsibly.

You will be the first point of contact for customers, offering clear guidance, great service, and helping people make the right choices for the environment.

This is a Monday to Friday role, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, offering stable hours in a supportive, community‑focused environment.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Providing welcoming, accurate and helpful customer service for Centre visitors.
  • Operating electronic payment and management systems with precision and efficiency.
  • Ensuring correct waste separation advice, including reuse, recycling, and landfill options.
