What's the role?
We are seeking an experienced
Breast Sonographer to join our specialist Women's Imaging team at Qscan Windsor on a permanent basis.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Sonographer who is passionate about breast imaging and wishes to further develop their expertise within a dedicated Women's Imaging service. Working alongside experienced Breast Radiologists, Mammographers, Sonographers, Nurses, and administrative professionals, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional patient care and diagnostic excellence.
Qscan Windsor provides comprehensive breast imaging services including breast ultrasound, mammography, breast MRI, and image-guided procedures. The clinic is equipped with advanced imaging technology and supported by a highly experienced multidisciplinary team committed to achieving outstanding patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities include
- Performing high-quality breast ultrasound examinations across both screening and diagnostic settings
- Producing accurate and comprehensive imaging to support diagnosis and clinical decision-making
- Working closely with Breast Radiologists during assessment clinics and multidisciplinary patient pathways
- Assisting with and supporting breast interventional procedures where appropriate
- Delivering compassionate, patient-centred care while maintaining patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality
- Ensuring compliance with breast imaging protocols, quality assurance standards, and best practice guidelines
- Maintaining excellent image quality and diagnostic accuracy through attention to detail and clinical expertise
- Managing workflow efficiently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining a commitment to ongoing professional development

Is this role right for you?
To be successful, you will bring:
- Current ASAR accreditation (or eligibility)
- Demonstrated experience in Breast Ultrasound, including both screening and diagnostic examinations
- Experience in Women's Imaging and breast interventional procedures, or a strong willingness to develop these skills
- Strong understanding of breast imaging protocols, quality assurance standards, and patient-centred care principles
- Excellent scanning technique with a commitment to producing high-quality diagnostic images
- Strong attention to detail and diagnostic accuracy
- Experience working collaboratively with Radiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients through sensitive and potentially stressful examinations
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload efficiently in a busy clinical environment
- Experience using RIS/PACS systems and modern ultrasound technology
