Intermediate Accountant - Business Advisory

Our Melbourne Business Advisory team has an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant to join a close-knit, high-performing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for running jobs end to end.

As an Intermediate Accountant you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts
• Prepare full set of accounts, tax checklists and cash-flow statements
• BAS, GST and FBT returns
• Construct and maintain working papers
• Reconcile client accounts
• Liaise with clients and external stakeholders
• Work on various consulting assignments and projects as required

Job Responsibilities

Our ideal new team member has:

• A Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent degree
• Working towards your CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 1.5 years’ experience in accounting, ideally within public practice
• Experience working with medium to large businesses and multi-entity structures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Motivation to grow professionally and contribute to team development
• A genuine interest in mentoring and upskilling junior team members
• Ability to develop trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues

Job Benefits

Salary range: 77,000 – 82,499 AUD Annual
