Intermediate Accountant - Business Advisory

Our Melbourne Business Advisory team has an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant to join a close-knit, high-performing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for running jobs end to end.

As an Intermediate Accountant you will be responsible for:
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts
- Prepare full set of accounts, tax checklists and cash-flow statements
- BAS, GST and FBT returns
- Construct and maintain working papers
- Reconcile client accounts
- Liaise with clients and external stakeholders
- Work on various consulting assignments and projects as required
Job Responsibilities
Our ideal new team member has:
- A Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent degree
- Working towards your CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 1.5 years’ experience in accounting, ideally within public practice
- Experience working with medium to large businesses and multi-entity structures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Motivation to grow professionally and contribute to team development
- A genuine interest in mentoring and upskilling junior team members
- Ability to develop trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues
Job Benefits
Salary range: 77,000 – 82,499 AUD Annual
