Registrar - Trainee - Nuclear Medicine
This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 12 months with the possibility of extension(s).
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 02/11/2026. Appointments for this position will not commence until 2027.
Salary: MP Year 1-7 $128,760 - $175,802 p.a. (plus 12% superannuation and professional development allowance)
Position Profile
As a Nuclear Medicine training registrar, you will provide diagnostic services to Nuclear Medicine and PET patients as required, including reviewing requests, protocoling studies, supervising and performing imaging and interventional procedures and their analysis, and providing high quality reports under supervision. In addition, you will also provide clinical in-patient and out-patient care of the Nuclear Medicine therapy patients, provide supervision and training for junior medical staff, nursing staff and medical students, participate in after hours and weekend rosters, and participate in peer review and quality improvement activities/seminars. This position is part of the Inter-Hospital Rotating Scheme and placements are available at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital.
Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical service including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
