• This role is Permanent Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight

• The shift times are between 08:00am to 9:30pm, weekdays and alternating fortnightly weekend shifts (both Saturday & Sunday)
• As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a video interview. Successful candidates will then be progressed to meet with the hiring team including a practical, group-based assessment interview.
ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
As Shop Manager (Shopkeeper) your responsibilities will include:
• Driving sales and profitability for your home furnishing departments by taking full commercial ownership of your range and executing IKEA priorities with pace and precision.
• Developing deep insight into the product range, customer behaviour, and local market trends, and proactively acting on commercial opportunities and customer feedback.
• Leading from the front - working alongside your team on the shop floor to coach, mentor, and build capability, while actively developing future leaders.
• Creating highly commercial, inspiring, and easy-to-shop environments that bring the IKEA concept to life for customers.
• Translating broader IKEA strategies into clear, actionable goals for your team to build a high-performance culture and deliver measurable results.
• Owning sales steering, forecasting, and performance follow-up, and making timely adjustments to consistently achieve and exceed targets.
As Shop Manager (Shopkeeper) you are:
• A commercially driven leader with experience delivering and executing strategic activity plans that enable sustainable, long-term growth in an omnichannel retail environment.
• Highly customer-focused, with a strong interest in home furnishings and the ability to quickly build deep knowledge of market trends and product range to maximise opportunities.
• Passionate about people leadership, experienced in building high-performing teams, developing talent, and creating strong succession pipelines.
• An effective collaborator and influencer, confident in engaging stakeholders across functions and communicating clearly at all levels.
• Adaptable and resilient, with proven experience leading teams through change and continuous improvement.
• A clear, inclusive, and inspiring communicator who leads with authenticity and builds trust through strong values and behaviours.
• A senior leader who drives business outcomes through people, balancing pace, simplicity, and flexibility to make things happen.
• Results-oriented, with a strong track record of delivering both short- and long-term plans and consistently achieving performance goals.
• A minimum of three years of leadership experience within a high-volume commercial environment (Department or Store Manager, Key Account Manager, B2B or B2C Sales Leader or similar), with a proven track record of delivering sales growth and profitability.
• Experience building a high performing team, leading performance, development, competence building, and securing succession for leadership/specialist roles.
