About the role
As our People & Culture Graduate, you'll provide administrative support to the P&C function across the Ahrens Group, gaining hands-on exposure to employee administration, onboarding, recruitment coordination, document management, reporting, and our People & Culture systems.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to build a strong foundation in Human Resources, working alongside an experienced team within a fast-paced, diverse, and genuinely supportive organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR systems
- Process employment changes, including promotions, transfers, and remuneration updates
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities for new and departing employees
- Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, and recruitment documentation
- Assist with advertising vacancies, managing applications, and pre-employment screening
- Manage enquiries through the People & Culture inbox
- Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Support employee engagement initiatives and events
- Monitor training, license, and certification compliance, and support audit activities Provide general administrative and data entry support to the broader P&C team
Essential Criteria
- Recently completed or currently completing a qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Desirable Criteria
- Previous administration or customer service experience.
- Exposure to HR systems or payroll systems. Understanding of Human Resources principles and employment practices
