Who is BillyLids Therapy?

BillyLids is a close-knit, family-owned practice run by two clinician sisters - one a Speech-Language Pathologist and the other an Occupational Therapist - where collaboration and shared values guide everything we do. We take pride in fostering a playful, ethical, kind, inquisitive, and empowering environment.

We are passionate about supporting and nurturing our staff through inter-professional and rewarding work environment practices that includes peer to peer mentoring, in-house training and paid time off for CPD attendance.

Our senior SLP has more than 45 years experience and have a special interest in early intervention with children with physical disabilities, supporting children across settings and assistive technology.

The caseload

  • Dedicated paediatric practice supporting children under 13 and their families
  • Responsible for providing evidence based assessment, planning and intervention for children.
  • Achievable KPI’s- maximum of five clients per day with a soft landing.
  • Hybrid model - four in clinic sessions per day complemented by one community visit.

The benefits

  • Above award salary: $82,000- $100,000 + superannuation, depending on clinical expertise.
  • Five weeks of annual leave each year.
  • Not required to work on public holidays.

Requirements

  • A playful and engaging demeanour. Must love children!
  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in Speech Pathology
  • SPA registration
  • Current Working with Children Check and Police Check or ability to obtain
  • Vaccinated for COVID-19 and influenza
  • Full working rights within Australia
  • Drivers Licence
  • A commitment to working collaboratively within the BillyLids team
  • Must be able to build rapport with children and families quickly
  • The ability to engage and motivate children of all ages through play or age-appropriate activities, whilst also incorporating playful and adaptive work practices
  • Must show initiative and empathy to helping children and their families
  • A willingness to participate in peer to peer mentoring
  • Sound knowledge of child development, and conditions affecting normal development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent time management skills

Desirable

  • Knowledge of NDIS framework.
