Little Minds Child Psychology is growing and seeking a registered psychologist passionate about working with children and young people (4-16 years).
Little Minds Child Psychology is a dedicated private psychology practice focused on providing support to children and young people. Grounded in holistic understanding and individualised approaches, Little Minds creates a supportive environment to empower young individuals and their families.
Role Description:
- This is a contract position (2 days per week preferred), offering flexibility and autonomy over your calendar. You can choose your workdays whilst helping meet the needs of our families with availability during peak demand times (9:00am and after school appointments).
- Opportunity to provide therapeutic intervention and conduct developmental assessments for children and adolescents.
- Manage your own caseload and administration responsibilities, including calendar management, appointment scheduling, and client communication, with access to an established waitlist and strong clinic referral sources.
- Access to a fully furnished clinic room, client management software, and clinic and assessment resources.
- Work autonomously with opportunities for collegial support within a friendly and collaborative practice environment.
- Individual supervision can be arranged, if required, at the clinician’s own expense.
- Contractor remuneration structure discussed during the interview process.
Essential Criteria:
- Full psychology registration with AHPRA.
- Current Working With Children’s Check, police check, and professional indemnity insurance.
- Willingness to obtain Medicare provider number for location.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and create a positive therapeutic environment with clients and other healthcare professionals.
- Relevant clinical experience working with children and adolescents.
Highly Desirable Criteria:
- Educational and Developmental endorsement highly regarded; psychologists currently working towards endorsement are encouraged to apply.
- Experience administering developmental assessments and report writing, including autism and ADHD assessments with children and adolescents. We are particularly interested in hearing from psychologists with a passion for and experience in assessment, as there is strong demand for developmental assessments within the practice.
- Experience working within neuro-affirming and trauma-informed frameworks.
