About the role

Join the dynamic Urology Unit at Eastern Health and take the next step in developing your surgical and clinical expertise within a supportive, high-performing team environment.

This position offers an outstanding opportunity for motivated Registrars seeking comprehensive exposure to modern urological practice across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and operative settings.

This is an exceptional opportunity to strengthen your operative experience, clinical judgement, research involvement, and leadership capabilities within a highly regarded health network.

Working closely with experienced Urological Surgeons, the Urology Registrar plays a key role in the ongoing management and care of urology patients across multiple Eastern Health campuses.

You will gain extensive hands-on experience in

Acute and elective urology management

Emergency presentations

Ward-based patient care and daily rounds

Outpatient clinics

Operative urology in supervised theatre environments

Multi-disciplinary collaboration and case conferencing

Research, audit, and quality improvement activities

Clinics and services are delivered across

Box Hill Hospital

Maroondah Hospital

Angliss Hospital

Yarra Ranges Health

Positions available

This position is suitable for Registrars interested in pursuing a career in Urology.

Positions 2 and 3 will consist of 6 months Urology and 6 months General Surgery (including nights and relief cover).

Successful people will be required to work across all Eastern Health campuses and participate in an after-hours on-call roster.

The positions for 2027 are as follows

Position 1. 12 Months Urology

Position 2. 6 Months Urology, 6 Months Spec Surgery Relief (which may include up to 12 weeks Urology, including nights)

Position 3. 6 Months Surgery Relief (which may include up to 12 weeks Urology, including nights), 6 Months Urology

About you

Current General Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or eligibility for Provisional Registration with AHPRA (successful completion of AMC Part 1 and Part 2 required)

Committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
