IT Support Officer / Rollout Technician (12-Month Experience Welcome)

Approx. 3-month contract | Start mid-July

6:00am – 3:30pm | Full-time onsite

We are seeking an IT Support Officer / Rollout Technician to support a device refresh program at a major mining site in Muswellbrook. The role involves hands-on deployment of laptops and desktops into Microsoft Autopilot, working directly with end users across a high-volume rollout environment.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with around 12 months’ IT support experience who is looking to gain practical exposure in enterprise device deployment, Microsoft cloud technologies, and onsite end-user support.

Key responsibilities

• End-to-end device provisioning including build, setup, and user handover
• Supporting rollout of approximately 200–250 laptops and desktops
• Microsoft Autopilot deployment, resets, and redeployment activities
• Microsoft Intune enrolment and application/configuration deployment
• Active Directory user and device management
• ServiceNow ticket logging and updates
• Asset tracking and CMDB maintenance
• Direct end-user support and device handover
• Ensuring a professional and positive end-user experience

About you

• Approximately 12+ months experience in IT support, service desk, or desktop support
• Exposure to Microsoft Autopilot and Intune, or ability to learn quickly
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
• Strong communication skills with a patient and customer-focused approach
• Comfortable working onsite in an industrial/mining environment
• Ability to manage multiple devices efficiently in a rollout setting

Requirements

• Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain
• Regular Drug and Alcohol testing required
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to work onsite at Mount Arthur Coal, Muswellbrook
