Job Type: Full-time | Salary Guide: $160k to $200k + super (depending on experience)

About the Role

This isn't a sideways move. This is a Principal level position where you'll run design delivery, lead a team and have genuine input into how the Brisbane engineering operation grows. Our client is scaling fast in Queensland and they need someone who can take ownership, not just fill a desk.

You'll work across residential subdivisions, commercial developments and infrastructure projects for some of the biggest developers in the country. If you've spent 8+ years in land development and you're ready to lead rather than just deliver, this is worth a conversation.

What the Role Looks Like Day to Day

• Running the coordination and resourcing of the civil design team with the Engineering Manager
• Leading project design delivery from concept through to approval using 12D, Civil 3D, DRAINS, MUSIC and AutoCAD
• Owning project budgets, invoicing and fee proposals across your portfolio
• Managing council, developer and consultant relationships directly
• Driving business development and helping win new work
• Mentoring junior engineers and setting the standard for design quality

What You'll Need

• BE in Civil Engineering with RPEQ (or close to it)
• 8+ years in civil design within urban land development in Australia
• Strong hands on experience with 12D or Civil 3D, plus DRAINS, MUSIC and AutoCAD
• Solid understanding of Australian Standards and LGA road and drainage design
• Experience leading or coordinating a design and drafting team
