Our Client
Our client is a well-respected organisation within the veteran support sector, dedicated to providing meaningful services and community connection for current and ex-serving Defence members and their families. An opportunity is now available for an experienced and community-focused Centre Coordinator to join the team on a fixed-term basis.
Due to the nature of the role, this position is best suited to a current or ex-serving Defence member, or someone with a strong personal connection to the veteran community.
Contract Details
- Commencing as soon as possible
- Fixed-term six-month contract
- Darwin location
The Role
This position will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a wellbeing centre, focused on creating a welcoming and supportive environment for veterans, families and community members.
- Coordinating centre activities, wellbeing programs and community events
- Supporting stakeholder and community engagement initiatives
- Assisting with scheduling, bookings and administration support
- Maintaining accurate records and database management
- Supporting outreach activities and occasional reception coverage
- Assisting with social media updates and promotion of programs/services
- Working collaboratively across a multidisciplinary team environment
- Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required depending on events/programs
About You
- Current or ex-serving Defence members, or candidates with a strong connection to the veteran community, are strongly encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in coordination, administration, community engagement or wellbeing-focused positions will be highly regarded
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a warm and empathetic approach
- Experience coordinating events, activities or stakeholder engagement initiatives
- The ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and internal systems
- A collaborative and adaptable approach to work
