HR Coordinator

Silverstrand is seeking an HR Coordinator looking to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team. You will be based in our Brisbane Head Office and employed on a permanent basis.

About The Role

You will be responsible for, but not limited to the below:

• Create and distribute key communications to keep the team informed about HR updates and initiatives – including monthly newsletters, monthly awards, policy roll outs, etc.
• Delivering inductions to office-based employees.
• Training Coordination - office and project-based coordination with external suppliers.
• Employee lifecycle stages - Assist with various HR functions, including induction, development, retention, and separation.
• Coordinate subsidies and funding from schemes including Government, Apprentice and Training organisations.
• Assist with developing people and culture pieces and implementing them throughout the Company.
• Maintain the Labour Hire licence reporting across the Company.
• Provide HR guidance and support.
• Ensure compliance with laws and policies - Uphold adherence to relevant employment and safety regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
• Design and deliver HR training - Develop training materials on HR policies and practices and conduct sessions to ensure understanding and compliance.
• Maintain the QLeave register and ensure that reporting compliance is completed.

Skills & Qualifications required

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources
• Experience in the construction industry – highly regarded
• Experience using HRIS system ELMO or similar
• Knowledge of Fair Work framework and Employment Legislation
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Organisation and ability to maintain accurate and up to date records
• Ability to multi-task & prioritise
