- ️ Have experience in disability support or the health care industry Role Description This is a casual on-site Disability Support Worker role based in Geelong, VIC. The Disability Support Worker will assist participants with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, domestic duties, and community access. The role includes supporting participants to attend appointments, engage in social and recreational activities, and build independent living skills. The worker will follow individual support plans, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate effectively with participants, families, and other professionals. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, dignity, and choice, while supporting participants to achieve their goals and participate fully in their communities.Qualificat
- ions Experience or training in disability support, community services, individual support, or a related field, with a strong focus on person-centered prac
- tice.Demonstrated ability to provide safe and respectful support with personal care, manual handling, and daily living activi
- ties.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport, maintain professional boundaries, and work with people from diverse backgro
- unds.Organizational and time-management skills, including accurate record-keeping, incident reporting, and adherence to support plans and poli
- cies.Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain), Working With Children Check (if required), and valid First Aid and CPR certific
- ates.Current Australian driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for participant transport, if transport support is requ
- ired.Understanding of NDIS principles, participant rights, privacy, confidentiality, and duty of care, with a commitment to inclusion and safeguar
