Job Description
- Manage facilities across a portfolio of shopping centres throughout the Newcastle, Port Stephens and Hunter region.
- Work across a portfolio of large, high value retail assets.
- Ideal for someone who enjoys working with hard services, soft services, BMS-related matters, contractor performance and site presentation across the portfolio.
Who we’re looking for?
- Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Facilities Manager or similar role within shopping centres, retail property or comparable fast-paced asset environments.
- Strong capability managing multi site portfolios, balancing travel, priorities and competing operational demands effectively
- Confident handling incidents, site issues and escalations, with the ability to make sound decisions in a calm and professional manner
- Practical, resilient and accountable, with a strong understanding of safety, risk and compliance requirements and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic retail environment
- Comfortable working across 4 x shopping centres and travelling to sites
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
The role
You’ll manage hard services, maintenance, compliance and contractor performance to ensure each centre remains safe, efficient and ready for trade every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of four shopping centres across Newcastle, Port Stephens and Hunter region.
- Coordinate all maintenance activities, including planned, preventative and reactive works, working closely with contractors to minimise disruption.
- Manage hard and soft services, building systems, contractor performance and overall site presentation.
- Carry out regular site inspections, identify issues early and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
- Monitor operational budgets, track spend and prioritise work across the portfolio.
- Respond to tenant and operational requests, delivering a high standard of service in a live retail environment.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, risk and compliance across all centres.
