The opportunity

As a newly created position within the structure, our Capital Works team are seeking a Team Leader to join their team to provide effective leadership and end to end project delivery of Council’s Natural Disaster Reconstruction Projects.

Reporting to the Program Manager Civil Infrastructure, your role as Team Leader is key in providing leadership to a small team specifically created to support the delivery of Natural Disaster Reconstruction works. With a background in Project Management and a strong focus on pavement works, you’ll be instrumental in developing a program schedule and identifying further resourcing requirements for the team throughout the contract period.

  • This is a contract opportunity for a period of 2 years, in alignment with funding – working full-time 35 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement
  • Base Salary Range: $100,407 to $118,126 pa based on 35 hours / week + 12% superannuation + $19,364 motor vehicle allowance + $2,464 retention allowance
  • You will be working from PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace

  • A degree qualification in Engineering, Project Management Qualifications or related disciplines
  • Leadership and people management experience
  • Sound project management experience including project reporting, cost control, tendering and contract management
  • Professional written communication skills including word processing abilities such as the preparation of business cases, project reports, specifications, tender bids and project quality plans.
