About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that delivery of IT Service Continuity Management services by Allianz IT and Service Providers is compliant with the Allianz Corporate Framework including the DORA and CPS230 regulatory requirements.

  • Manage required changes and updates to ITSCM policies and standards to ensure compliance with AAL’s corporate framework and Group Functional Rules including requirements for DORA and CPS230.
  • Manage engagement with and responses to internal and external audits and subsequent remediation activities to ensure ITSCM has no overdue audit actions.
  • Ensure Service Providers conform to legal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Promote and champion an active risk culture, providing support and guidance to team members to ensure the function demonstrates required behaviours and actions aligned with the Allianz Risk Framework.
  • Govern and continuously improve IT Service Continuity Management policies, standards, procedures and processes to ensure compliance to the organisation’s technology strategy.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of the IT Service Continuity framework and disaster recovery test strategies and contribute to creation of business continuity strategies in a matrix structure organisation, working with Enterprise Resilience and Technology Risk teams.
  • People Leadership - provide leadership and build an inclusive culture; Role model AAL's values and behaviours; develop excellent working relationships with peers to deliver outcomes through effective partnership.
  • Maintain ITIL certification with demonstrated credentials of work in an IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) function.
  • Experience in IT Service Continuity, Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery planning and assessment and having worked in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Experience working with resilience and recovery in Cloud environments with a focus on AWS.
  • Experience with Service Management processes and systems such as Service Now.

About you

  • Experience in developing and implementing internal control and governance, policies and procedures based on the regulatory requirements and leading continuous improvement initiatives to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Experience in governance of outsourced Service Providers in large organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Able to identify, analyse and assess risks inherent to the business and put in place appropriate controls / actions to manage the risks for future sustainability.
  • Significant knowledge of regulatory requirements for financial services such as APRA Prudential Standards, particularly with respect to outsourcing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
  • Resilient leadership, calm and composed under pressure but can dial up the energy and sense of urgency when needed.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience working horizontally with cross platform application teams.
  • Sound knowledge of Infrastructure - Public cloud, On premise and third party externally managed data centres. Understanding of High availability architecture - applications, Load Balancers, networking, and other underlying components that play role in application system crossover as part of the application recovery.
  • Strong technical leadership to resolve complex problems in relation to completing DR and ITSCM activities.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
