Technology Lawyer

We are working with a leading national sporting and events organisation on an in-house secondment for an immediately available Technology Lawyer.

This is a genuinely interesting role sitting at the intersection of sport, media and technology, supporting a business behind some of the country’s most high-profile events.

The role

You’ll be embedded with a well-regarded legal team, working closely with commercial and tech stakeholders across a mix of BAU and project work.

You’ll be involved in

• Drafting and negotiating a range of IT and technology agreements (SaaS, cloud, licensing and system implementations)
• Advising on privacy, data protection and information security
• Supporting ongoing digital and transformation projects
• Working on supplier and procurement arrangements
• General commercial support as needed

What they’re looking for

• Around 4+ years’ PQE with a focus on technology / commercial contracts
• Someone who is practical, responsive and comfortable dealing directly with the business
• In-house or secondment experience is helpful but not essential
• Experience with privacy/data is a plus
