Radiology Systems Trainer - SHAR

Sonic Healthcare Australia Radiology (SHAR) is seeking experienced and engaging Radiology Systems Trainers to join our newly established national team.

Up to two full-time opportunities may be available, with applicants sought from both North Queensland and South East Queensland.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of clinical workflow, technology and innovation, supporting Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine Physicians across the SHAR network.

You will play a key role in improving system adoption, workflow efficiency and the clinician experience across a range of radiology technologies, including RIS, PACS, voice recognition and emerging AI-enabled tools.

Fundamentally, this is a business-facing role rather than an IT support role, with a strong focus on improving doctor efficiency through effective training and workflow support.

The successful applicants will be responsible for onboarding and systems training across Queensland X-Ray and may be required to travel to support other SHAR entities from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Deliver onboarding and ongoing systems training for Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians and relevant clinical staff.
  • Support workflow optimisation and best-practice use of radiology systems.
  • Support training, adoption and workflow readiness for system upgrades and new technologies.
  • Drive measurable improvements in radiologist productivity and reporting efficiency, including template utilisation, turnaround times and the effective use of AI-enabled tools.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, user guides and supporting documentation.
  • Provide workflow guidance and support to clinical users across multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to improve the user experience, system adoption and workflow efficiency.

About You

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Bring

  • Strong knowledge of radiology systems and clinical reporting workflows.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to deliver engaging and effective training to a range of clinical users.
  • A demonstrated ability to drive system adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • A collaborative, adaptable and service-focused approach.
  • The ability and willingness to travel as required.

Desirable Experience

  • A clinical background as a Radiographer or Sonographer.
  • Experience delivering structured systems training programs.
  • Exposure to voice recognition, reporting platforms and AI-enabled radiology technologies.
  • Experience supporting change management initiatives or clinical system implementations.
