The Role and Duties

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, this role will work closely with Partners and senior stakeholders to drive business development initiatives, strengthen client relationships and support the firm's continued growth across key practice groups and sectors.

The role will also have responsibility for managing more junior direct reports and will work closely with colleagues across the Australian, APAC and broader global Business Development teams.

• Developing and implementing business development strategies and initiatives

• Supporting Partners with client relationship and account management activities

• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities

• Preparing pitches, proposals and capability statements

• Leading and supporting marketing, profile-raising and client engagement initiatives

• Managing events, sponsorships and thought leadership activities

• Mentoring and developing junior Business Development team members

• Working with CRM systems and maintaining data integrity

• Collaborating with Business Development and Bids teams across the APAC region

Practice group alignment will be discussed during the interview process to ensure the successful candidate is working within areas that align with their experience and interests.

About You

• 5+ years Business Development experience within a law firm is essential

• Previous people management experience

• Strong understanding of the legal market

• Experience using CRM systems

• Excellent project management and organisational skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

• Professional and confident presentation
