About The Role

This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for NDIS participants and their support networks through tailored, evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support. We are currently seeking a dedicated practitioner to join our team for a 12-month parental leave cover contract, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact within our established service environment.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Relationship Building: Providing and developing strong, collaborative relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Practice: Ensuring compliance with NDIS guidelines by reviewing and actively reducing restrictive practices.
  • Assessment: Conducting comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) to identify underlying needs.
  • Support Design: Designing and implementing person-centred Behaviour Support Plans that promote positive change.
  • Capacity Building: Providing education and training to carers and support teams to build capacity and confidence.
  • Data Analysis: Collecting and analysing data regularly to monitor progress and inform ongoing support strategies.

About You

To ensure the best outcomes for our participants during this 12-month contract, we are looking for a practitioner who can hit the ground running. As such, we are specifically seeking applicants who are currently endorsed as Core or Proficient under the PBS Capability Framework. At this time, we are unable to consider applicants at the 'New Entry' level for this particular role. Please ensure you include your letter of suitability from the NDIS Commission as part of your application.

  • You hold a relevant Bachelor's degree (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling, Social, Disability, Teaching, or Social Sciences).
  • You have full Australian working rights.
  • You have prior experience in community, private, or acute settings.
  • You demonstrate sound NDIS clinical knowledge, with demonstrated experience in completing formal assessments and developing robust Behaviour Support Plans.
  • You have access to your own vehicle and hold a current driver's licence.
  • You have, or are willing to obtain, an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check.
  • Available to commence the 12-month maternity cover role on 5 October 2026.
