Senior Functional Test Analyst

Green Light are looking for a Senior Functional Test Analyst to assist in the delivery of a large program of work. The role is responsible for the testing activities on a large transformation project, ensuring that all assigned technology solutions are delivered to agreed quality standards and within the allocated timeframe.

This role will play a key part in a modernisation program, working across enterprise and operational systems, with a focus on functional, automated and continuous testing practices within an Agile/DevOps environment.

Requirements

  • Application of knowledge of project and programme management frameworks, particularly in Agile delivery environments
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to adapt communication style appropriate to the audience
  • The ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to ensure that all test effort activities are effectively completed and carried out in accordance with agreed test guidelines
  • Experience across the full Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) including SIT, UAT and regression testing
  • Experience working in DevOps environments and supporting CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium) and continuous testing practices
  • The ability to research and make decisions based on sound judgement and technical expertise
  • The ability to manage and organise work in the context of competing priorities, including contributing to business planning, changes in workplace practices and innovative improvement strategies

Responsibilities

  • Manage the timely delivery of testing outcomes and the quality of testing processes
  • Assist with undertaking test effort estimation and managing resources to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Lead and support execution of System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing
  • Support integration of testing into CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous delivery and validation
  • Contribute to test automation frameworks and exploratory testing practices to improve coverage and efficiency
  • Provide subject matter expertise and in-depth technical analysis to ensure ICT service functions meet requirements
  • Monitor and report on progress of testing activities
  • Manage time and effort to ensure test cases are executed in line with project schedule
  • Escalate any issues throughout the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Contribute to uplifting testing capability, frameworks and practices across the program
