TOM People and I are working exclusively with a leading ASX-listed infrastructure group to recruit a Senior Finance Manager with a strong focus on nation-wide business partnering. This organisation is a key player in Australia’s energy market, managing a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of infrastructure assets, and playing a critical role in powering the nation and supporting the transition to net zero.

As a senior finance leader, you will partner with executives across a major operating division, driving financial strategy, performance, and decision-making across a complex, capital-intensive portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of commercial finance and infrastructure delivery, requiring both strong FP&A capability and strategic leadership.

Role responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance management across a large infrastructure portfolio.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic financial insights and influence decision-making.
  • Provide clear, actionable analysis on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Drive cost optimisation initiatives and support long-term value creation.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance partnering team.
  • Enhance reporting, systems, and processes to improve business performance and efficiency.

About you

  • CA/CPA qualified, ideally Big 4 trained with strong technical foundations.
  • Proven experience in FP&A or finance business partnering within energy, utilities, infrastructure or capital-intensive industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
