We are partnering with a well-known Australian retailer with a national store network and support centre. Under new investor ownership, the business is in the midst of a significant transformation, with a clear ambition to lift performance while protecting the culture and brand that customers know and love. It is a fast-moving, commercially focused environment with plenty still to build.
About The Role
Reporting to the EGM and sitting on the leadership team, you will lead the full People & Culture function across HR, talent acquisition, WHS and payroll.
This is a broad role requiring someone equally comfortable partnering with the leadership team on strategy as they are staying close to operational detail. Priorities over the next 12 months include attracting, developing and retaining high-performing store managers and sales teams, strengthening leadership capability, embedding greater performance and accountability, and supporting the business through an active period of change.
You will be a trusted advisor to the leadership team, helping shape culture, capability and organisational performance while ensuring the business remains well positioned to navigate change and growth.
About You
- Significant People & Culture leadership experience gained in retail, QSR, FMCG or another fast-paced, multi-site environment
- A track record of leading transformation, culture change and performance improvement
- Strong grounding in employment relations, compliance and leading broad people functions including payroll and WHS
- Commercially minded, but pragmatic and people-centred in how you operate
- Comfortable with ambiguity and pace, with the judgement and credibility to influence senior stakeholders
- A visible leader who balances empathy with accountability and brings people with them through change
